Who is Invictus Body Jewelry?
Invictus Body Jewelry was started in 2014 to answer Piercers needs for a premium implant grade quality product that is fairly priced and immediately available. The Invictus management team has been working in the Body Jewelry business since 1997 and continues to evolve with the industry. We are dedicated to the success of the piercing community by focusing on quality, style, and delivery. We have a diverse group of dedicated individuals here that represent many different backgrounds. What is Invictus Body Jewelry?
Invictus Body Jewelry offers implant grade titanium and 14k yellow, rose, and white gold insertion body jewelry. All our jewelry is internally threaded or threadless. All our internally threaded products are made from implant grade titanium, for a safer and easier piercing experience for professional piercers and their clients. Invictus Body Jewelry uses industry standard thread patterns. We use M1.2 Threading on our 14-gauge Body Jewelry and M0.9 Threading on our 16-gauge Body Jewelry. Our threadless jewelry is held in place by the tension created by a bend in the post. Most of our 14k gold jewelry is threadless, as are some of our implant grade titanium tops. All threadless bases are made from implant grade titanium.
What is the Display Policy?
Invictus designs and manufacturers displays specifically for the purpose of representing Invictus products to the final consumer. There is a minimum order required of jewelry to receive displays. In general, a display can be provided when enough jewelry is ordered for the display. Once a shop has received initial displays from Invictus, they can discuss additional displays needs with us. Invictus displays are not intended for displaying other brands and Invictus reserves the right to not provide displays to customers for various reasons.
Why use Invictus Body Jewelry?
Invictus Body Jewelry’s posts are made entirely out of implant grade titanium. This means that compared to other available alternatives, Invictus is completely biocompatible. Your customers will not have an allergic reaction or reject our jewelry. Our 14k gold collection is nickel free and safe for fresh piercings. We test each of our products using in-house HD XRF testing equipment and conduct third party materials testing to verify our own internal results. Our Ti-6AL-4V ELI ASTM F136 TITANIUM is sourced from the United States, Japan, and China. Should you need a test result for a specific product, please let us know.
How should I autoclave Gold?
Gold can become discolored from autoclaving. It could be several things, reaction to the chemical indicators, residues left from polishing or cleaning products, or corrosion of the elements in the gold itself. If you decide to autoclave our gold for sterilization purposes, it is important to clean the jewelry first. The pre-cleaning process removes the compounds from the manufacturing process that can possibly discolor it. The jewelry should be cleaned in a jewelry steamer if possible then immersed in an ultrasonic cleaner with an alkaline detergent, followed by a distilled or deionized water rinse, and then put in the autoclave. It is important to use pure distilled water with no minerals in the autoclave. In addition, we recommend lowering the heat setting and extending the time. We do not recommend high heat for softer metals such as 14k Gold. High temperatures can cause issues with stone setting and color.
Sterilization Process of 14Kt Gold Jewelry
We are sterilizing the product at our facility to eliminate the need for you to autoclave the jewelry by utilizing a low temperature Hydrogen Peroxide H2O2 Sterilization method.
The device terminates micro-organisms with Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide (VH2O2). It is a dry, non-thermal process that is environmentally friendly and does not produce harmful by-products associated with other methods of sterilization. The equipment utilizes the bacterium killing power of free radicals in the H202 atoms released by applying heat to the H202 gas in the vaporizer.
The use of H202 vapor safely and rapidly sterilizes instruments and jewelry without leaving residue. In addition to the indicator colors on the bags, we utilize biological indicators to validate the sterilization - assuring that the sterilizer effectively kills the micro-organisms. Used in many healthcare facilities, we believe H202 to be the safest and superior sterilization method for our products.
Part of our commitment to our business is to find solutions for our customers. We hope that this evolution provides you with more efficiency and maximizes time in your shop.

What is 24Kt Gold PVD?
Genuine 24KT gold is used as a coating on the jewelry using the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process. The jewelry is placed in a heated, high vacuum chamber, where electric voltage is applied, vaporizing the coating and bonding agent to implant-grade titanium material. The bombardment causes the material to turn into tiny particles that are deposited on to the jewelry. Once the process is completed, the jewelry will have a hard layer that is long lasting, smooth, biocompatible, and can be autoclaved.
Gold PVD is used in high-wear industrial applications, the premium watch industry, dental applications, and jewelry - including professional grade body jewelry. The color, once deposited, stays bonded to the titanium, and does not flake or wear off. Gold PVD is not the same as gold plating, though the two are often confused, as it is more durable and long-lasting. It has a high resistance to daily wear and tear, and is an attractive, more affordable option to solid gold jewelry. 24kt gold is the purest form of gold. It is 100% gold, with almost no alloy metals added to it. It is rare to find anyone with sensitivities to 24kt gold. This is why 24kt gold is used in the Gold PVD process - not adding anything to the gold but dispersing the gold in a way that it coats and bonds to the titanium material.
24KT Gold PVD over implant grade titanum is a strong and safe metal for body piercings and an excellent alternative to solid gold.
What is Platinum PVD?
Pure platinum is a heavy precious metal that is extremely inert and excellent for wear in body piercings. However, body jewelry in this material is very expensive due to the high cost of the material and difficulty in manufacturing. Therefore, we have incorporated Platinum as a coating over implant grade titanium (Ti6Al4V ELI) which is ASTM F-136 compliant. This provides the advantages of platinum (beautiful bright white finish) in a safe to wear and more affordable product.

Platinum PVD over implant grade titanium is a strong and safe metal for body piercings.
Some additional features and benefits of this new combination include:
1. Durability: Titanium is already a strong, lightweight metal. When coated with platinum, the jewelry gains additional resistance to scratches and tarnishing, making it more durable over time.
2. Hypoallergenic Properties: The platinum layer helps reduce the risk of allergic reactions. Titanium is typically hypoallergenic, and the platinum plating adds an extra barrier for sensitive skin.
3. Corrosion Resistance: Both titanium and platinum resist corrosion, but the PVD coating enhances this property, protecting the underlying titanium from environmental factors.
4. Lightweight Comfort: Titanium is much lighter than other metals, so even with a platinum coating, the jewelry remains comfortable for long-term wear.
5. Cost-Effective Luxury: While solid platinum can be expensive, PVD plating allows for the luxurious look of platinum at a more affordable price point.
6. Versatility: This combination allows for a range of designs and styles while maintaining the benefits of both metals, making it suitable for various types of body jewelry.
