What is Invictus Body Jewelry?
Invictus Body Jewelry offers implant grade titanium and 14k yellow, rose, and white gold insertion body jewelry. All our jewelry is internally threaded or threadless. At Invictus Body Jewelry we believe in providing quality implant grade body jewelry for affordable prices to professional body piercers around the world.
What is the threading type and thread patterns for Invictus?
All Invictus Body Jewelry products that are internally threaded are made from implant grade titanium, for a safer and easier piercing experience for professional piercers and their clients.
Invictus Body Jewelry uses industry standard thread patterns. We use M1.2 Threading on our 14 gauge Body Jewelry and M0.9 Threading on our 16 gauge Body Jewelry.
Our threadless jewelry is held in place by the tension created by a bend in the post. Most of our 14k gold jewelry is threadless, as are some of our implant grade titanium tops. All threadless bases are made from implant grade titanium.
How should I autoclave Gold?
Invictus Body Jewelry is manufactured only using implant grade materials. We want our customers to have the best and safest experience possible with our jewelry. Invictus is made of Ti 6Al-4V ELI ASTM-F136 implant grade titanium. This titanium alloy is completely bio-compatible so it is great for initial piercing and aftermarket body jewelry.
All our gold jewelry - yellow, rose, and white - is nickel free and safe to use for insertion.
What is 24Kt Gold PVD?
Genuine 24KT gold is used as a coating on the jewelry using the PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process. The jewelry is placed in a heated, high vacuum chamber, where electric voltage is applied, vaporizing the coating and bonding agent to implant-grade titanium material. The bombardment causes the material to turn into tiny particles that are deposited on to the jewelry. Once the process is completed, the jewelry will have a hard layer that is long lasting, smooth, biocompatible, and can be autoclaved.
Gold PVD is used in high-wear industrial applications, the premium watch industry, dental applications, and jewelry - including professional grade body jewelry. The color, once deposited, stays bonded to the titanium, and does not flake or wear off. Gold PVD is not the same as gold plating, though the two are often confused, as it is more durable and long-lasting. It has a high resistance to daily wear and tear, and is an attractive, more affordable option to solid gold jewelry. 24kt gold is the purest form of gold. It is 100% gold, with almost no alloy metals added to it. It is rare to find anyone with sensitivities to 24kt gold. This is why 24kt gold is used in the Gold PVD process - not adding anything to the gold but dispersing the gold in a way that it coats and bonds to the titanium material.
24KT Gold PVD over implant grade titanum is a strong and safe metal for body piercings and an excellent alternative to solid gold.

Invictus is concerned with the quality of life for everyone involved in the creation, manufacturing , and distribution of our products. As such, we have implemented a system of International Labor Standards that assures we are following best practices in our industry. We work with Bureau Veritas and Sedex to conduct trade Audits ( SMETA ) which help us manage and improve working conditions in our factories. The SMETA audits are conducted which include some or all of these four pillars: Labor Standards, Health & Safety, Environment and Business Ethics. These extensive audits give us recommended areas of improvement and a CAP - corrective action plan which we monitor annually for improvements. Some of the criteria that is checked in these annual audits are Management Systems, Freely Chosen Employment, Safety & Hygiene , Child Labor, Living Wages, Working Hours, Discrimination, Business Ethics, and Environmental impacts of the factory. In all of our recent audits in 2021 The SMETA Best Practice Version 6.1 was applied. Our experience in these matters is not new , and actually dates back to 2011 when we began our relationship with Disney in manufacturing our officially licensed products.
